Attention seniors! Prom is right around the corner and is not waiting for you. Now is the time to start planning and shopping. Have no idea where to start? Help has arrived!

Ladies, try thinking outside of the box. If you are the type of gal who would like to look different, try to steer away from colors like red and black. Go for colors like green, lavender, yellow, and teal. Basically colors that people forget to think about. Look at different styles of dresses, get out of your comfort zone. It might benefit you in the long run.

When thinking about shoes, try to go for what can be comfortable, yet stylish. You can buy shoes from Nordstrom, Macy’s, Designer Shoe Warehouse, and even Dillard’s. There are many options, all you need is Google! If your dress is on the long side, don’t bother stressing over expensive shoes that will barely be seen. Also bring an extra pair of slides.

Of course I didn’t forget about the guys. Obviously if you have a date, you don’t really need to worry about color choice. That doesn’t mean just show up in a suit that matches your date, you still have to worry about what style suits you. You don’t want to wear something that screams funeral or gives off churchy pastor. You also don’t want to look like you’re going to a business meeting. Basically, if you want to wear a tie add some spice so you don’t look completely boring.

Most guys wear bow ties to prom, which gives off a clean swaggy look. You don’t necessarily have to worry about looking the same as everyone as a guy, because there is only so much you can do with a suit. That’s where shoes and accessories come in; that’s what really makes the difference with the style of the suit. Unless you get it customized, which is another story. Fabric, design, placement, are all variables when it comes to men’s suits. Most importantly ladies and gents, remember to look good and have fun!
