Ever since the debut of the new Disney movie, “Encanto”, premiered in 2021, the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has taken over the charts and many say it is even better than the song “Let It Go.”

After the release of “Encanto”, the soundtrack has been trending all over social media such as TikTok, including the songs “The Family Madrigal” and “Surface Pressure’. As of Feb. 12, 2022 “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and is only the second song from a Disney movie to do so. The only other song to reach the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 on the charts is “A Whole New World” from Disney’s “Aladdin”.

Although “Encanto” features some amazing and meaningful songs from its soundtrack, there has been an ongoing debate on whether or not the song, “We Don’t About Bruno” has dethroned “Let It Go” from being the most memorable song from a Disney animated film ever.

During “Frozen’s” reign in 2013, the song made it to No. 5 spot on the charts leaving the “Encanto” song outperforming the Disney princess’ song.

“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has reached over 167 million streams on Spotify due to its Latin stylistic influences and with the platform TikTok boosting its impression on its users.

According to Suncoast students, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is better than”Let It Go.” A poll taken on The Legend’s Instagram page showed that 78 percent of its voters prefer “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” compared to the 22 percent that preferred “Let It Go.” This leads to the conclusion that the “Encanto” song is better and not just because the numbers said otherwise.
